A crackling black portal was opening before a desk in an office, which had a viewport looking out into cold space behind that desk and the chair. Gamma T was being summoned to this office through a message that went straight through her head. Right now, however, as the portal did not as of yet bring her from her place at the Gamma Outpost, there was nobody in the chair behind the desk... as a matter of fact, no one in the office.

Tam walked out of the portal. she was smiling. she had changed a great deal since she was last seen by most people. she was back to her usual self, a fully formed body, no horrible, gaping wounds, and she had gotten rid of the hateful mindset of before. what still tethered her to the mortal plane was unknown, though.

Now, a figure in a black pilot suit and helmet with white glowing question marks on both sides of the helmet appeared, sitting behind the desk. He spoke in a low, croaking voice.

"I summoned you here, Pi, because I know that you are sharing some of our secrets with another. Normally I would fire my soldiers and erase their memories for this... and alter the mind of the one with which you share our secrets."

The figure gave a very low laugh.

"One of the reasons is the second. I know Zimmian would access almost any dimension through Jahen Roto, but this dimension is non-existent to that transitional reality, which is pretty much the reason why no Time Lord or anything else has gained access to this area. The only way into this dimension of ours is our gates, and you know they are technically really well hidden. However, you tell these secrets to Zimmian as well, which very well makes your third reason accurate. However, as for the second reason, I get a trade-off... he not only learns our secrets, but I learn his. His research is as useful as ours, very powerful. Thanks to him, you might be aware of some of the experiments we are undertaking in Area 2011. And this is all thanks to your consciousness. You know how I read anyone's mind. Yours is not an exception.

But there is another reason why I am allowing you to do this as well... there should be someone who should know what some of our purposes are, so that people are not mistaken into thinking that we mean to conquer every dimension out there. A mutual trust can form between us and Zimtech Industries. As long as we stay out of each other's way unless otherwise absolutely necessary, we should not have any trouble. I am thus allowing you to do this, Pi, for all of the reasons I mentioned before under one condition."

"those are easy! oh, and as long as I'm here I have a question! its not a threat, its a question! would I be able to kill you? you see, I have this ability to stop or destroy energy, any kind of it. thermal, kinetic, magic, electric, any kind you can think of. or, well, I can think of for that matter, since I'm the one doing it. I could stop a persons blood from pumping with a though, freeze it with another, and. . . um. . . oh! stop the electrical signals from their brain from reaching their limbs, thus making them unable to move twofold. the other one being the frozen blood. you seem really powerful, how would you hold up against that? generating so much energy that I get tired first? 'cause that's what Zimmian does." she sounded happy. very happy. and curious. she legitimately wanted to know, just for the sake of knowing. no evil scheme, no contingency plans, she just wanted to learn something.

Tam looked ecstatic. "AWESOME! how does it work? magic? going into the future and setting up a time and place where you would be killed and linking your existence to that one moment, so you can't die any earlier, but you will definitely die then, thus giving an amount of time you thought of earlier to let you do whatever it is you plan to do? how does it work?"

but her question would likely not be answered. a massive burst of energy filled the room. a single red gem dropped out of nowhere into Tam's lap. Zimmian's face appeared, and talked directly to her, ignoring everything around her. "Legion has arrived. Threatening total entropy. get back to the bar. take the gem. bring help. and that include any of Zoe's other creations. you have six minutes."

Tam's happiness vanished. his skin was starting to melt away in places. she was returning to her more often seen half-dead appearance. she was sticking the ruby into the bone of her forearm before remembering where she was, and why she was there. "Zimmian warned me that something could happen. its happening. this thing include every reality unraveling. might not include this one, because its not connected to Jahen Roto, but it will leave this place isolated. possibly unable to connect to whatever the hell forms after the unraveling. I'm hardly a match to a single soldier of what we're facing on my own. he needs an army. more than an army, really. you can choose to send help, or you can choose to sit on your ass and hope for the best. me? I'm going to help. fire me if you want, but wait to wipe my memory, or attempt to, until after I've done my part. hell, you might get lucky. I could die first."

Tam was standing by now. "oh, and here is why you would even consider sitting on your ass. the force we're fighting assimilates people. and it does it fast. if it gets even one of your soldiers, it knows how to get here. Zimmian can defend himself, sure, and I just stop their energies, its how my power works. but I can't say everyone else is just as safe. and I can say that at least one will be caught. we're facing billions of enemies, and each one is just as strong as almost every individual here. if you chose to fight, then suggest antimatter weapons. its the only thing we know kills them. and it still takes a hell of a lot to bring one down." and just like that she was gone. exiting in the same manor in which the stone had arrived."

The CEO saw her depart, but let her go and put one thought into her mind, instantly, so that she didn't have to take time to listen to his thoughts, just hear them all instantly as knowledge already in her brain:

I know about them, Tamika. I know about the Legion, and I know how they are a threat. And while I'm safe here, I have a duty... a duty that requires me to join you in battle anyhow. As for methods, I use them as a scattered matter. They do have a surprise coming, I assure you. Fight them as you always do, and needless to say I will provide assistance. But for now, I wipe this from your mind, just to keep this piece of information safe from the Legion in any case for a precaution...

And while she would still know about the mercenaries, she had no idea how to find them. If she was assimilated, they would know that the mercenaries existed, but they wouldn't know where to start in finding them from her.

Now an alarm sounded throughout the headquarters and other outposts and the lab. He decided to key his orders through his comm on his desk:

ATTENTION. WE HAVE A THREAT THAT WAIVES ALL COMPENSATIONS. ALL SOLDIERS FROM ALL OUTPOSTS PREPARE FOR BATTLE. ALL ALPHA SOLDIERS REPORT TO THE R.E.D. ROOM. THIS THREAT MUST BE ELIMINATED. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

He then dissipated from his desk.
